All Saint's Men's Group really is proof that us blokes know how to have a good time. We meet around six times a year with a wide variety of social events - for example, trips out to the theatre; visits to museums; ten pin bowling and tasty barbeques. At All Saints itself we have had a "Greek food" evening, theme quizzes, balloon debates plus our famous annual "alcoholic evening" where Jonathan Sturt and Peter Norris provide a short talk and large quantities of different tipples ... for "sampling" of course! We usually get 15 - 25 men to most occasions, who dig into our good food and generous liquid refreshments with gusto. Many of these entertaining events are talked about for years afterwards ....! Each year, we also have some truly excellent speakers from our membership of Christian Viewpoint for Men, both at our "big breakfast" summer meeting and at our sumptuous autumn dinner. These inspiring talks provide a great source of encouragement and are always very well received. This is where we invite men from surrounding churches; typically over 50 attend. We have some 60 + men involved and receiving invites, with ages ranging from early twenties to late eighties. Don't forget, these enjoyable evenings are open to all men! We appreciate that nowadays, due to shifts and irregular working, many of you can only attend once or twice a year; but there'll always something for you. (Note: Any charges for events are kept to the absolute minimum.)

here Past event - An educational trip around the new Windsor brewery ! The report on the day: We had a wonderful turnout of 24 – this was the largest attendance we have had for any of our ‘away’ events. Although a walk to central Windsor is not that far to go! The presentation on brewing methods and history of beer in Windsor was very well done and most informative. Paddy’s 30+ year experience of brewing in small and big breweries around the country really showed. His last job was as head brewer at the Scottish and Newcastle Royal Brewery in Manchester. He still lives in Manchester and commutes weekly to Windsor to help drive this project. That’s commitment. The tour allowed us to get up close to the brewing engines and hear about how it all worked – accompanied by the smells and sound of brewers at work (at 8+pm) filling casks with the latest Guardsman brew. And then we had plenty of time to sample the 3 beers and quiz Paddy and Willie on the ‘design’ of their new beer ‘Windsor Knot’ for the upcoming Royal Wedding on 29th April. They still do not have a final recipe decided! The evening went very quickly so there was no time for beer purchases at the end – see the comment below about shop opening times and do give them your support when you next need to buy some beer. Finally a big thank you for the fine donation you made to Ale4Forces.
