January 2007
From Grace Ngenga, the headteacher:
We will open the College
on 15th January, 2007.
We are awaiting a response from an NGO which might assist us with finance to
run the College. We have already given them our Project Proposal. Please
pray for us so that we can be able to receive this aid so that we can be
able to help many more needy youths (both boys and girls).
The four computers which were donated by your Church has helped the ten
students in learning Keyboarding and are already typing at 25 words per
minute.
We have now covered half the Shorthand Textbook and the girls are able to
take down dictation at 20 words per minute.
We are going to introduce Private Secretarial Duties subject when we open
the College and the students are very excited about it.
September 2006
A word from Grace Ngenga, the headteacher:
The Shorthand/Typing class is going on very well and the girls are working very hard
and are also enjoying their studies.
I will be sending you a photograph of myself together with the girls taken in the computer
classroom.
Boniface is doing well at a high School he joined in Western Kenya.
He always come to greet us during the school holidays. He had told me to pass his love and
appreciation to you for what you did for him during his Primary School years.
Veronica got married and is having a second baby.
The other four also joined difference High Schools in the country.
Pass our love to all at All Saints Church and God willing I will meet them next year.
February 2006
We are still enjoying the borehole water, the tenants
as well as the members of public who come to buy the
water at the kiosk. It is very sunny and dry so the
water is helping everyone including the livestock.
In November last year we prepared one of the fields
and planted vegetables and Irish potatoes. Jimmo and
William have been irrigating the field and we have
been cooking the vegetables and the potatoes are
nearly ready for harvesting. We want to prepare the
next field ready for planting.
Our Std 8 pupils are still busy going up and down
trying to get themselves settled in their respective
High Schools. I will let you know soon the ones who
will be able to join us.
We already have seven (7) Form Four pupils who are
awaiting eagerly for us to start the computer classes,
which we expect to start soon.
January 2006
The results of the K.C.P.E. exam for our candidates were as follows:
three pupils passed with 318, 317 and 298 marks out of 500 respectively.
We prepared the party for them on Saturday 7th January, 2006 and they were happy.
The pupils are now awaiting the selection process to High Schools and they will know the schools
they will enter.
Those pupils who will be unable to join the High School will be able to join our Computer College by February 2006
together with the Form Four school leavers.
July 2005
In an email received from Grace Njenga we learn that the project is still thriving and there is good news about its sustainability
We are delighted that now the water is flowing in
great quantity at the school. We have started selling
at the kiosk at Kshs.2/= for a 20 litre jelly can.
There are other people who are buying the whole tank
which is 6,000 litres at Kshs.600/=.
There are also some people from downhill who wish to
connect a pipe to their homesteads but are not yet.
The pupils are studying well and are soon to start
their end of term exams. The staff are busy revising for exams.
Pass my love to everyone there.
February 2005
Rev. Louise and two other parishioners travelled out to Nairobi in February. She was able to see for herself the changes we have helped to make to the school. They spent a short time at the school on the Monday they arrived and then returned the next day for a huge reception laid on for them by the school and some local dignitaries. They took a stone, engraved plaque and this was fixed on the wall by the office at the front of the school. It was unveiled ceremoniously by the vicar during the proceedings. This will link the school with our church into the distant future. We thank God for giving them a safe journey.

January 2005
We have heard from Grace this week. The news is exciting concerning the new borehole:
We opened school on 10th January and the drilling of the borehole started the same day. The school has therefore been a beehive of activities i.e registration of new pupils and the drilling, which has been very noisy, going on.
We thank God that the water is now flowing like a river up to school playgrounds below and soon they will be able to complete the work. The pupils, the staff and the community around are very grateful for this achievement and are looking forward to meeting Rev Louise and Jonathan on their scheduled visit in February.
It is good too to hear that there are still some pupils being taken into the school free of charge:
Many of our old parents have indicated their wish to have their young ones join the school and I have already admitted about ten of the young ones, especially in Baby Class. These pupils will be learning free of charge as the parents cannot afford the school fees.
