One to One Link October 2003 The group of walkers have now climbed the mountain, visited the school and returned home bearing verbal greetings from everyone at the Ndumbuini Hill School to all at All Saints’. Pat Sparks spent a few days in the school instead of climbing the mountain and built up relationships with the children individually offering them her love and attention. She helped many of them write replies to the letters we had sent to them over the summer. These had been distributed to the pupils on the first day of term in September. However there are many of you for whom there is no reply. Many seem not to have managed to write a letter. This does not necessarily mean that your child has left the school. As we have exam results for many of them, we believe that they are still at school. Do enjoy your letters and appreciate the wonderful opportunity we have here by God’s grace to build up real relationships with children so far away, and try to learn to love them individually as God loves each and every one of them, as He does each one of us. Continue to remember your child and the teachers – Grace, James, Esnas and Julie - in your prayers. If the letter you receive includes information which may be of general interest please tell us so that we can let others know via the website and the notice board in church. We would like to get a package back to the school in time for Christmas, so we are asking you all to write immediately and get it in as soon as possible. Remember not to seal the envelope. Please enclose a photograph of yourself and a Christmas card, as well as your reply. They really appreciate the photos they have received. If you did not receive a letter this time please send a card anyway unless you are told for certain your child has left the school.
Please give your replies to: - Mrs. Ruth Norris 20 Hemwood Road, Windsor. Tel. 01753 869787 email: ruth_norris@yahoo.com
